Heidi + Scott ~ Engagement

Together at last!
While Scott was attending school in another city, Heidi and Scott made the long distance thing work. Now they are back together and so much in love. As the saying goes, "Absence Makes The Heart Grow Fonder"...

I always say it is important to throw a little bit about what makes each couple unique into their engagement session. Heidi and Scott both love books, so why not get some shots inside Indigo? Sure enough, after a little networking, we gained permission to shoot part of their engagement session INSIDE Indigo! It really is such a fabulous store with so many neat colors and decor.

Photography is about much more than just pressing that shutter button. Making your clients feel at ease and provoking those true moments that make great images is as essential as knowing how to take a photo. While I had spoken to Scott over the phone while he was in Halifax, when I arrived at Indigo, it was essentially the first time we had met. Since it was Sunday and we had to finish up before the store closed, we quickly went from "Hi, nice to meet you" to instructing poses and making images in a matter of minutes. Both Heidi and Scott did so well considering the store was crowded and not an ideal situation for romantic moments. ;)

{special thanks to our friend Bryn for coming along and waving cute puppets in the air behind me to provoke smiles & laughter!}

After a quick session at Indigo, we headed over to a "secret" outdoor location for the second part of their session.

Randi + Josh ~ Engagement

Let me just say that I am REALLY excited to have a bride named RANDI.
How awesome is that? Not even considering that she is a super cool person with GORGEOUS blue eyes that could probably sparkle in the dark.
The first time we talked on the phone, we really hit it off. Then, we met in person. I am convinced that perhaps we were separated at birth somehow? We literally have so much in common. Even her mother agrees and has been telling people the same ever since we first met ;)

A little while ago I made the trip up to Norton for Randi and Josh's E-session.
Our first booked date was "weathered out" but this day was perfect! The weather was gorgeous and we still had a little bit of snow that Randi was hoping for. I was excited to see their home because the wedding is being held there in July. Turns out I may be begging them to let me travel there with my other clients.
This location is Amazing! Rolling hills, perfect pastures, private treed pathways, old weathered barns, a vine covered swing set, the pool ... and the list goes on. Just beautiful!
I also got a sneak peek at some of her decor and THE DRESS! Let's just say, it will be a gorgeous event, no doubt!

Now, on to some E-session photos!
